On June 11, 2022, CEIBA Business School, European University Miguel de Cervantes (UEMC) and Eastern Cloud Education Group celebrated in an Opening Ceremony the start of the next cohort of over 70 executives from all over China.
Although the ceremony was held online due to the epidemic, students and teachers could share their enthusiasm and their expectation at the beginning of this new academic journey. For CEIBA Business School, the opening ceremony is not only gathering for the inauguration of new academic year, but it is also the opportunity to focus on topics that are important for the research, and for the academic and business worlds.
CEIBA Business school thanks all the guest speakers who attended this opening ceremony. Professor Javier Alfonso Rodríguez Escobar, Vice Rector for Quality and Semi-presential Teaching at the UEMC, held the opening remarks. He delivered a congratulatory speech, in which he congratulated all the new students and thanked CEIBA Business School and Eastern Cloud Education for having successfully developed the UEMC in China. He hopes that the UEMC programs will inspire students to become the leaders that society, companies and people need through knowledge and willpower!
In his subsequent speech, Mr. Borja Calzada Gonzalez, Director of University degrees at the UEMC, introduced in detail the background of the university, the curriculum and the teaching philosophy. He said that the UEMC is a big family of more than 5000 students and professors, and it is an exciting and very satisfying moment for him to welcome all Chinese students.
Mr. Xiang Dong, General Manager of Orient Cloud Education Group, wished all the new students to gain the knowledge they need to go further in their career and become more responsible leaders. Mr. Guo Hui, Director of Academic Affairs Department of Orient Cloud Education Group, talked about how we live in a hyper competitive world of contradictions, and how the degree programs prepare students to cope with complexity. On behalf of all new students, MBA student Xie Jun, master’s in psychology student He Hanwen expressed to the school leaders their most sincere respect and look forward to their studies at the UEMC.
