The Executive DBA in Psychology is a three-year research-oriented programme offered by Universidad Europea Miguel de Cervantes (UEMC), Spain, in cooperation with CEIBA Business School.
Designed for experienced professionals, the programme explores how psychological processes shape leadership, organisational behaviour, consumer decisions and management practice.
It enables participants to transform questions arising from professional experience into systematic research, connecting psychological theory, empirical evidence and practical organisational challenges.
Understanding organisations requires more than analysing strategies, structures and performance indicators. It also requires understanding how individuals think, make decisions, collaborate, respond to leadership and behave as consumers.
The Executive DBA in Psychology supports research into these behavioural dimensions, encouraging participants to develop theoretically informed and empirically grounded explanations of complex organisational phenomena.
Explore leadership, employee motivation,
wellbeing, engagement and the behavioural
dynamics of organisational change.
Investigate perceptions, attitudes,
emotions and decision-making in
consumer and business contexts.
Examine collaboration, organisational
culture, learning and the psychological
foundations of people development.
These areas illustrate potential research directions. Individual projects remain subject to academic approval and appropriate supervision.
Develop a focused research question, engage
with academic literature, establish a
theoretical framework, and prepare a
rigorous research proposal.
Conduct empirical research under academic
supervision, collect and analyse data,
develop findings, and write the
doctoral thesis.
Finalise the thesis and present the research
contribution through the university’s
assessment and defence process.
Throughout the three-year programme, structured academic milestones and research supervision support candidates as they develop their doctoral research alongside their professional responsibilities.
