Yuan Guofeng is an entrepreneur, supply-chain practitioner and researcher with approximately three decades of experience in chemical logistics and cross-border supply chains. He is Chairman of Shanghai Yunze Supply Chain Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Yunze Jihua International Logistics Co., Ltd., and serves as Vice President of the Shanghai Maritime University MBA/EMBA Alumni Association and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the International Logistics and Supply Chain Chamber of the Shanghai Federation of Industry and Commerce.
His professional and research work focuses on the systematic optimization of fine-chemical supply chains, with particular attention to fourth-party logistics, cross-border coordination and the integration of logistics, finance and operational scenarios. He is also interested in the use of artificial intelligence for supply-chain decision-making and logistics-network planning, particularly in the context of hazardous-goods transportation.
A distinctive dimension of Yuan’s research is his exploration of how Chinese systems thinking—including concepts associated with tian ren he yi (unity of humanity and nature), yin–yang balance and traditional Chinese medical reasoning—can inform contemporary approaches to organizational resilience and supply-chain governance.
