On 29 August 2026, students, faculty members and guests gathered in Chengdu to celebrate the graduation of MBA Class 22, delivered through the cooperation between CEIBA’s local academic partners and Pan-European University. The ceremony marked the successful completion of an intensive learning journey and the conferral of master’s degrees awarded through Pan-European University’s Prague Business School.
For the graduates, the ceremony represented more than the completion of a degree. Over the course of the program, participants combined demanding professional responsibilities with advanced study in management, case analysis, teamwork, leadership and research. The experience provided an opportunity to step back from day-to-day managerial responsibilities, challenge established assumptions and develop broader perspectives on organizations and business.
Speaking during the ceremony, faculty members repeatedly emphasized that graduation should be seen as a new beginning rather than an endpoint.
Professor Liu Fangjian reflected on the students’ academic journey and highlighted the importance of continuous learning in a rapidly changing business environment. His message was clear: managers need to remain open to change, continuously renew their knowledge and develop the ability to respond thoughtfully to new challenges.
Representing Pan-European University, Professor Li Daoan congratulated the graduates and underlined the importance of combining strong management knowledge with an international outlook and a commitment to lifelong learning in an era shaped simultaneously by globalization and digital transformation.
Professor Luo Min similarly reminded graduates that an MBA is not the conclusion of learning. As professional practice evolves and new challenges emerge, managers need to continue developing their knowledge and engaging critically with technological and organizational change.
The MBA reflects CEIBA’s broader commitment to connecting European academic perspectives with the realities faced by managers in China.
Through the cooperation with Pan-European University, participants were exposed to internationally oriented management thinking while remaining closely connected to their professional environments. The program was designed not simply to transmit management knowledge, but to help experienced professionals reconsider how they understand organizations, decision-making and change.
The graduating class also holds particular significance as the first cohort within this cooperation with Pan-European University. At the ceremony, class representatives presented a commemorative Czech Bohemian crystal gift, symbolizing both the partnership and the shared academic journey.
The degree-conferral ceremony recognized the successful completion of the students’ academic requirements. Faculty representatives formally conferred the degrees, while students, professors and guests came together to celebrate the culmination of more than two years of study, discussion and professional development.
Graduate representative Ren Xiongxi, Executive Director of Sichuan Jiayi Enterprise Management Group, reflected on the challenges and growth experienced by the class—from complex case discussions and business-model analysis to the continuous renewal of managerial thinking. His message captured the spirit of the occasion: although the MBA had been completed, the pursuit of knowledge was only beginning.
Students who made particularly strong contributions to the cohort and academic community were also recognized during the ceremony.

For some graduates, the MBA represents an opportunity to apply new perspectives directly within their organizations. For others, it may become the foundation for deeper inquiry, executive leadership development or, eventually, doctoral research.
