Opening ceremony of UVic MBA in China

The speakers

The ceremony was attended by 8 speakers and moderated by Marcin Koszolko, dean of CEIBA business school. 

Three speakers represented UVIC-UCC:

  • Professor Montse Corrius, vice dean and professor of the Faculty of Business and Communication at the University of Vic. Director of International Programs and Codirector of the MBA Program 
  • Professor Josep Burgaya, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Communication at the University of Vic.
  • Joan Masnou, Professor at the Faculty of Business and Communication at the University of Vic. Former Vice-Rector of International Relations and MBA Program codirector.

Mr. Hong Wenping represented the local partner as Director of the Teaching Department, Beijing Podo Sunshine Education.

Student representatives speech

Two student representatives transmitted their motivation and thanks for the opportunity to join UVIC MBA. They shared their vision of what it means to be an entrepreneur and what value the UVIC MBA program will bring them:

  • Pan Pan, Director of Program Department, CRI International Channel, China Central Radio and Television
  • Li Pang, Vice General manager of China Railway Sixth Bureau Hohhot Railway Construction Company

The ceremony was interpreted by professor Victor Lin, Assistant professor at CEIBA. Head of the academic department of Marketing and International Business. 

Presentation of UVIC

Marcin Koszolko introduced the ceremony by welcoming newly-enrolled students and the representing leaders of UVIC-UCC. Then Professor Corrius extended a warm welcome to the new students, and introduced UVIC-UCC. Professor Burgaya presented the faculty of Business and Communication, as well as the history and the benefits of UVIC-UCC students. Professor Masnou congratulated the students for having decided to study an MBA and stressed on the  great significance of this decision for their life and future carrer development.He believed that students will greatly benefit from UVIC-UCC’s innovative and inspiring teaching methods together with the established alumni networks. 

Presentation of program delivery in China

Then, Marcin Koszolko presented the ecosystem of CEIBA Business School together with the industrial and academic linkages that produce specific values to students. Mister Hong Wenping explained the details of program delivery in China and the course schedule. He stressed the fact that the lectures and corporate classrooms provided by in the program would help student to develop strategic thinking and a global vision. Finally, new students Pan Pan and Li Pang produced a motivational speech and extended their thanks to their professors and teachers.
