MBA program opening in Chengdu

CEIBA Business School entered in a strategic cooperation with VSO to jointly deliver a MBA program designed for entrepreneurs, managers and government workers to acquire business and management skills.  This program responds to current changes in the field of business and management for our students to stay ahead of the crowd.

May 21st is an important day at CEIBA Business School with the successful opening of a new MBA program in China. In cooperation with University College of Business in Prague and China Pacific economics and management Institute, this opening ceremony marks the beginning of CEIBA’s development in the West of China. We would like to thank the guest of honors who chaired the opening ceremony.

Leaders of VSO

At distance because of the pandemic restrictions, the rector of the University college of Business in Prague, Vladimír Krajčík, greeted and welcomed students. He congratulated students for passing the admission interview and thus becoming VSO students. He introduced the University College of Business in Prague as a non-profit private higher education institution which is one of the oldest private universities in Czech Republic. After twenty years of existence, the university has 2000 students currently enrolled and is officially accredited by the Ministry of Education of the Czech Republic and recognized by the Chinese Ministry of Education. He concluded by thanking CEIBA Business School and China Pacific economics and management Institute for this successful cooperation in China.

Program director Vladimír Dragon followed and explained that together with CEIBA Business School, the primary goal of this MBA program is to provide current and future managers and entrepreneurs with an education that boosts their innovative potential while promoting a progressive approach to business. This program helps executives to develop the soft skills that are necessary to enhance their career potential, such as leadership, teamwork and critical thinking.

Chinese leaders

It was a great honour to invite Prof. Liu Fangjian, President of China Pacific economics and management Institute to deliver a speech for the opening ceremony. Despite being a holiday day, he praised the many entrepreneur students who sacrificed the time to learn, change and develop themselves. His speech was followed by that of alumni Peng Xiaoli, Chairman of Chengdu Wanli Media Group and Chairman of Sichuan Xingtianfu Culture Industry Development Co. In his speech, Mr. Peng said: “Change is the only constant. The only way to cope with change is to learn. Through learning, foreseeing the future and holding our steering wheel firmly in our hands, we know to master our own destiny and our own life. He stressed that the MBA was for him a golden opportunity to learn new methods, new ways to think about sustainable business models and digitalisation. Exchanging experience and knowledge with excellent students from various industries and professors has been very beneficial in his personal career and for his company in terms of value creation.

Class representative election

Ms Li Xiao has been elected as the representative of the first cohort of MBA student. She is the Vice President of Sichuan Shuxing Culture Industry College and Director of Sichuan Youth Arts Centre. She highlighted the necessity to think macro and hoped that the knowledge she will get from the MBA program will translate into valuable development directions.

Chinese dean speech

Last but not least, Dr. Yang Minggao, Executive Dean of the China Pacific economics and management Institute, explained that the MBA’s goal is to prepare students to adapt and make best use of change. We have entered a world where everything is connected. Today’s business world is characterized by political, economic, technological, and social change. To cope with change, we have to constantly improve ourselves and change our perceptions. This MBA program integrates high quality resources from Europe and China to meet the needs of local executives to learn, network, and develop their business.
